U18 Summer Open
Toronto Chess Club is thrilled to announce a two day classical tournament in partnership with STEMstein Academy on August 15 & 16, 2026! This 5 round 45+30 tournament will be a rich battlefield for junior competitors, with cash prizes, trophies and other prizes on the line. Hosted at STEMstein’s beautiful new Mississauga campus, this event is not one to miss!

| • WHAT: | Saturday and Sunday: 5-round CFC Classical Rated (45 mins + 30 secs/move increment) |
| • WHERE: | STEMstein Academy 4501 Ridgeway Dr. #209, Mississauga, ON Free parking and wheelchair access available. |
| • ENTRY FEE: | $80+HST before August 1 $100+HST after August 1 |
| • PRIZES: | Top 3 trophies for each section, plus 25% of tournament entries divided as cash prizes between each section. |
| • RATING: | CFC Classical Rated. All players must have a valid CFC ID to play. Free IDs are available and a paid CFC membership is not required. |
| • ROUND TIMES: | Arrival at 9:40 am both days, no check-in required. 15 minute round default time. Saturday, August 15 Round 1: 10:00 am Round 2: 12:30 pm Round 3: 3:00 pm Sunday, August 16 Round 4: 10:00 am Round 5: 12:30 pm Round 6: 3:00 pm Closing ceremonies will begin as soon as round 6 is completed. |
| • SECTIONS: | Open / U1200 / U800 - Sections may be altered as needed based on entries. |
| • EQUIPMENT: | All chess equipment will be provided. Score sheets will also be provided. |
