An 18-class, in-person Toronto Chess Club Academy semester at Lorvale Academy Oakville. Level 4 develops calculation and planning through discovered and double checks, attacks on pinned pieces, X-rays, threats and mini-plans, alongside opening development, pawn endings and practical defence. Classes run Saturdays from 1:30–3:00 PM, September 12, 2026 through January 30, 2027, with no class on October 10, December 26 or January 2. Each class combines structured instruction, guided solving and practice, homework, over-the-board play, and instructor feedback. Tuition is $630 + HST ($35 per class). The semester includes a final unrated tournament. Families may register directly; if you are unsure which Level fits your child, the Academy open assessment is available as an optional placement check.
